Have anyone told me that I haven’t fulfilled like 80% of my 2005’s resolutions? Lol. Anyway, I think resolutions are good. They keep me going. They keep my days going. In some way or another. It’s like the goals for the year and after fulfilment of these goals, regardless whether they’re big, small, easy or difficult, once achieved, it demonstrates something. I can actually do it. And I did it! That gives me self-belief and confidence.
So here are my 2006 resolutions:
The world.
Peace. Happiness.
May the bad guys be punished and may the good guys be rewarded.
May the poor get out of poverty soon.
The nation.
Quit putting on airs.
Stop the indignant look and attitude.
Strive together as one.
And stop fucking cheat me of GST and Service Tax.
Myself.
Cut down on weight. Geez.. 4 years the same resolution Lol.
Eat at least 2 fruits every day.
Be punctual for every single occasion, event, meeting, appointment, session, rendezvous woot.
Work smart in office.
Aim to travel to Japan at year-end.
Try to remember all my friends’ birthdates.
Watch at least 4 good movies every month.
Family.
Nothing. Just keep your promises.
Yay it’s 2006!!
Ho ho! Twnty o’ six here I come!
A new year. A new blog. And that means my previous one will get abandoned - for a few reasons I wish not to detail :]
Amazingly 2005 has passed real fast that sometimes I couldn’t quite catch most of the events that happened in my life. For instance, there were some of the good enjoyable moments I had that deserve remembrance. And there were some.. dreadful, terrible, disastrous, and even painful ones I wouldn’t even think about. It felt as if my days weren’t well-lived. But.. all is over. :] A new year marks a new beginning and I hope to take each and every single day henceforwards faithfully and meaningfully.
Looking back, 2005 saw me serving the nation. I literally basically spent almost the entire year in army - right from the 22nd day up till today. Let me recall some of the greatest and worst moments of my life in 2005.
Smiles and Laughter:
- 21st Birthday Celebrations
- Fammy’s treat to Swensens
- The fun of whacking gems in office every now and then
- Movies from Star Wars to Narnia (the adverts moved my butt)
- My Vacation (Genting isn’t so bad after all!)
- Incessant Shopping Crazes (incl. retail therapy)
- G8 Spore Sale Season (whacked stores. How cool is that!)
- The mini X’mas party in Office
- X’mas parties with Friends and Relatives
- My devotion towards making music
- Reading all about my idols - Mariah incl. of cos)
- 3 to 4 Hr Long KTV Sessions
- The fun moments going with friends for meals
- 6260; the day I received it
- Virgin entry into MOS (still vividly remembered the scene outside)
- The sweet warm moments when family congregates at the feasting table
- Band and musical concerts I attended after months of anticipation
Not forgetting the bad ones:
- How I was pissed on one rainy day after work
- The period of depression after a breakup
- Who’s to go for Cresc.
- My transitional lenses that was Short-Lived!
- Health Implications (haven’t really recovered since April)
- How I literally broke down in office in front of my camp mates
- How I suffered 2 weeks of itch, pain and image worriments after gotten facial dermatitis (damn the dettol wipe)
- How I ‘gladly’ received 2 xtras during 1st week of Bmt
- Cheated off $1,200
- Worried sick when mum has to go for rounds of colonoscopic check-ups
- Lost a library book (and an expensive one!) and had to pay for it. fuck.
- How I hurled profanities at my fucking stubborn laptop (put a spycam in my room and u’ll know)
These are but some of the interesting incidents in my life. In 2005.
Hope to see better days in 2006!
