CNY visiting

my GOODNESS. my room still reeks of cigarette smoke!!
i had to politely (fake) usher them to the balcony. not the LIVING ROOM!! at least in the balcony, smoke makes its way out of my grills.

do they not know the concept of diffusion?
oh yarh they don’t lol.

so much for my EFFORTS making a stupid POSTER with a cigar drawing, an arrow and words “cho yin heui gor dou” (smoking over there).

argh. must buy air filter tmr. lol

on a delightful note, they gave me angbaos haha. that’s possibly one of the only reasons why i go up to them every year. this cny, i’m attempting to try something; use different pleasantries when wishing, i.e. trying not to use the same 4 chinese/ cantonese words. can you do that? haha.. 2 days ago i couldn’t think of anymore, i wished my 74 yo auntie NIAN QING LI ZHUANG. -___- embarrassing spot.

hmm.. i’m sharing the same sentiments as stanley- this year’s CNY isn’t exciting compared to when I was younger then. Conversations are now short and simple; i think it’s because of my cousins and all of us the younger generation have grown up, and we’re moving on to ”mature” talks of NS, university studies, blahblah. basically i spoke little. i mean.. give me a break. every year’s the same old question. Adults on the other hand have incessant yakking sessions. Todate, I still don’t get it lol. All the wak wak yak yak and ha has; discussions over recipes, work, family, shopping.. Congregating together at the table can be amusing at times..

I have guests yesterday I didn’t even bother to greet; in the first place I don’t even think he/ she’s fit to enter my doorstep. Sorry i’m like tat. It’s just so awkward, well, long story but basically people who have done many misdeeds in the past.. but mummy’s kind enough to allow them in, have a warm meal.. pay respects to ancestors.. blah. WATEVER.. and they are a bunch of helpless heavy smokers who COULDN’T give a fuck about basic courtesy manners.. i mean seriously.. who EVER said you could just roam yourself like innocent curious sheep around the rooms? just peeping inside my room to see how my room’s like? tat’s FUCKING rude. get out you fucking sheep. LOL and HELLO ba gu, my house is only 1200 sq feet, you don’t have to shout across the hall to call for your great-grand daughter (my grandniece, 3 yo).. not 12000 km away just so you know.

ahh.. i really missed my cousins at my maternal’s; least they’re of better disciplined and higher educated people I can learn from. they have produced lawyers, lecturers, company directors, architects, bankers blahblah and every time I strike conversations with my cousins, it feels really good, reminiscing the gd o’ times, getting sweet advice on selecting my career route and blahblah.. and we do share similar interests like classical music with MARCUS - damn u got a pic with mr williams lol. and with adele whom I dote on.. we can play tennis, play with your retrievers, POOL and with XAVIER and everybody!! Oh gawd i wanna meet them and I’m GOING TO! so exciting!

just so if u’re wondering, cos of miscommunications, I couldn’t meet up with my maternals. Both CNY 1 and 2 were basically with my paternal’s. In the family tree I THINK…… ONLY my DAD and Uncle RONNIE are the most respectable (& righteous) in the family tree. oh hellya that’s true.

mummy just told me we’re going to Singapore Orchid Country Club for DINNER this sat! WOOHOO! and den we head off to Aunt Jennifer’s (maternal’s) house, recognised as the top 10 most fabulous houses in Singapore. I’ll try snap some pics for you guys to see.. esp. the famous architectural designs: THE LAMBOUGINI, THE LIFT, THE LOUNGE, THE BRIDGE, THE VILLA POOL & THE 3 STOREY FLAGSTONE FORTRESS BATHROOM. wahahaha.. I’m calling it Bullocks! why? they had maternal meeting yesterday!! but we couldn’t make it cos of paternal’s visiting. Heard from DA YI (big aunt) Aunt Jennifer “WON” a lot and ate all bets. as expected haha. I don’t know why.. every year she’s a POWERHAND. THE QUEEN OF ACES. i’m thinking there’s something to do with her chin mole. last yr i lost quite a lot to her. YES we do play in tens..
